Shamita Shetty is an Indian actress who made her debut in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Mohabbatein’. Shilpa Shetty was born on 2nd February, 1979 to Surendra and Sunanda Shetty in Mangalore. Her parents are in the business of tamper-proof cap manufacture for the pharmaceutical industry. Her elder sister Shilpa Shetty is also a renowned Bollywood actress and the two shared the silver screen in 2005 release ‘Fareb’. Shilpa became an international celebrity after winning the celebrity version of Big Brother UK. Last year she tied the wedlock to businessman Raj Kundra and the couple is the co-owner of IPL team Rajasthan Royals.

Shamita Shetty attended the St.Anthony’s Girl’s High School and Sydenham College in Mumbai. She has also studied fashion designing from SNDT. Shamita Shetty was launched by ace filmmaker Aditya Chopra in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Mohabbatein’ also starring superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. A love story, ‘Mohabbatein’ revolved around the romantic relationship among the three young couples played by Uday Chopra- Shamita Shetty, Jimmy Shergill- Preeti Jhangiani and Jugal hansraj- Kim Sharma. ‘Mohabbatain’ became a blockbuster and the soundtrack ruled the music charts for very long. Shamita came into limelight owing to her sultry kissing scene with Uday Chopra in the movie.

The show was hosted by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Vindu Dara Singh was declared the winner while Pravesh Rana and Poonam Dhillon were declared 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively.
